Day 1

Arrival Nairobi at 0300hrs

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our Safari Driver Guide will meet and greet and then provide a private transfer to the city for few hours stay at a Nairobi Hotel on Bed and Breakfast basis. Nairobi – Naivasha - Lake Nakuru National Park. Depart Nairobi at 0830hrs and drive north down the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. We take a brief stop at Viewpoint for a few camera shots of this amazing natural phenomenon. The history of this valley dates back to thousands of years during some great earth movements that caused massive shifting of the earth’s foundation rocks. This massive valley stretches from the Middle East down through East Africa to Mozambique in Southern Africa holding along great lakes. (e.g. Victoria, Turkana, Baringo, Bogoria, Nakuru, Elementaita, Naivasha, Magadi, Natron, Tanganyika, etc). Proceed with safari with a stopover for panoramic views of Naivasha and Lake Elementaita arriving at Nakuru in time for lunch. Later proceed for a game viewing drive in the Park, which has prolific Flamingoes, White Pelicans and the Marabou Stork among others. Waterbuck and Cape Buffalo can be seen near the shoreline. Rothschild’s Giraffe and the White Rhino are additional attractions among other species of plains game and cats like Lion. The park also features the picturesque Makalia Waterfalls. Lake Nakuru National Park lies in the volcano strewn Rift Valley and is one of the chain of 8 Lakes which stretch the length of Kenya from Ethiopia to Tanzania. The park offers an incredible 450 different species of birds which are water, fish-eating, terrestrial and migratory birds to include Pelican, Fish Eagle, Secretary Bird, Heron, Egret, Hammerkop and Grebe. With luck you may spot Leopard, which is rather elusive. In the evening we return to Camp/Lodge/Hotel for dinner and overnight on Full Board Basis.
Day 2

Lake Nakuru – Lake Bogoria – Lake Baringo

After breakfast we cross the Equator and visit Lake Bogoria which is famous for its thousands of Flamingos and the hot springs and geysers, which erupt sporadically and violently throughout the area, but many visitors enjoy what feels like a natural spa. The geysers are also used for healing purposes due to their medicinal value. This Lake is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Proceed to arrive in time for lunch at the Camp/Lodge in Lake Baringo. Lake Baringo is the threshold of Northern Kenya, and its freshwaters are an oasis in the arid plains. It is the traditional home of the Njemps tribe, a unique tribe who are the only pastoral, and cattle herding tribe who also fish. Among other tribes such as the Maasai eating fish is a taboo. In the evening you will take a boat ride and cross to Baringo islands for a short walk in the forest. You can see Hippos in the lake from the boat. Dinner and overnight is at Camp/Lodge on FB Basis.
Day 3

Lake Baringo - Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast we go for a short game drive as we exit the park and drive through the Great Rift Valley, the dramatic landscape and the plains inhabited by the Maasai pastoralists and across the ‘bread basket’ of Kenya covered with acres of wheat and barley. We take a brief stop at Narok town for refuelling and then climb the western wall entering Hemingway’s country; “Serengeti Plains”. The Masai Mara Game Reserve adjoins Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and is reached in time for lunch. On arrival proceed to the Camp/Lodge for check in and lunch. Later proceed for an evening game viewing drive in search of black manned Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Cheetahs, Buffalos and other plains game. The sighting of Rhino and Leopard cannot be guaranteed and luck is a necessary factor as they are sparsely numbered, very shy and elusive. Return to Camp/Lodge at 1830hrs for dinner and overnight on Full Board Basis.
Day 4

Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast at 0730hrs, start tracking game with your Animal Passion Tours & Safaris guide in this Reserve which borders Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park as only an artificial border separates the two. Meaning dotted plains in the Maasai language, Mara is a vast area with scattered pockets of Acacia woodland inhabiting a wide variety of fauna. The Masai Mara is renowned for staging the Great Migration, recently named as the seventh wonder of the modern world. A full day is spent game viewing across (from 0800-1600 hrs) the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. This reserve is the most visited Park in Kenya and the best for game as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows excellent photography and close viewing opportunities. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game, black manned Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs. It also has numerous Elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. Antelopes, Wildebeests, Zebras and Maasai Giraffes can be seen as well as scavengers like Hyenas and Vultures. Bird life is also prolific with over 450 species having been recorded. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch besides the river as you watch Hippos and with luck Crocodiles on the river bank. We return to Camp/Lodge at 4pm.
Day 5

Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast leave for a half day game drive returning to the Camp/Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon is spent at leisure and you can have the optional activities at an extra fee like swimming going for a nature walk, visit nearby Maasai villages to see their nomadic lifestyle. (At an extra fee payable directly to the Maasai villagers – The Maasai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years.) Rest of evening is spent at leisure with dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
Day 6

Masai Mara GR – Isebania border – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast we exit Masai Mara for Isebania having been to Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. After immigration formalities meet with your Tanzanian native driver guide with an excellent 4x4 vehicle which is rebuilt for safari to give you a comfortable game viewing. Drive to Serengeti with picnic lunch on the way arriving at around 1800hrs for check in at Camp/Lodge. Spend the rest of the evening on rest and relaxation in Camp/Lodge waiting for dinner and overnight on Full Board Basis.
Day 7

Serengeti National Park

Breakfast at the Lodge followed by both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti Park include a visit to Seronera information center, the center of the Serengeti Park. You will have all meals and overnight at the Camp/Lodge on Full Board Basis.
Day 8

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Breakfast, then at 0830hrs check out from Seronera Wildlife Lodge and travel while spotting game enroute to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Check in and lunch at Camp/Lodge. At 1500hrs break staying in the vehicle and launch a walking trip fog about 3km on one side of the Crater rim enjoying the scenery of the Ngorongoro highlands or relax at leisure in your Lodge. You will have dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge on Full Board Basis.
Day 9

Ngorongoro Crater tour

Wake up at 0600hrs for early breakfast, there after breakfast descend into the crater floor with picnic lunches for a full day game drives. Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE namely Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera. Others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more. Birds include Flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Your lunch will be served on the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitokitok swamp. (A Hippo pool). After lunch proceed with game viewing and late at 1600hrs ascend the crater for dinner and overnight at Camp/Lodge on Full Board Basis.
Day 10

Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara National Park

Breakfast, then at 083O hrs drive for morning game drives at Lake Manyara National Park. The park is home to tree-climbing Lion, Giraffes, Hippo, Zebra, Buffalo, Waterbuck and troops of Baboons. At 1200hrs, we drive back to Camp/Lodge for lunch. At 1630hrs drive to Mto wa Mbu Village for an easy walking to the waterfall and visit also Mto wa Mbu daily market. Mto wa Mbu is a small village congested with a BIG number of people from each of over 120 tribes native Tanzanian; these people have managed to change unfertile land of the area to productive fertile land. Varieties of fruits sold in Arusha town, Nairobi, Moshi and Dar es Salaam are from Mto-wa Mbu. To Do: Walking at the base and on the surrounding area of Rift Valley escapement, Miwaleni Lake and waterfall. Experience the modern irrigation system and a view into the culture of the different tribes, at 1800hrs drive back to the Camp/Lodge for dinner and overnight on Full Board Basis.
Day 11

Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha - Namanga border – Nairobi

Breakfast, and then at 0830 hrs drive to Arusha via some Curio shops to arrive early for lunch at Arusha Point Zone Hotel. At 1300hrs after lunch travel for a drop off at Namanga border and after immigration formalities, pick up your Kenyan safari driver and proceed with safari to arrive Nairobi in the evening and check in to your hotel. In the evening, we recommend a farewell dinner at the Carnivore, justifiably referred to as ‘Africa's Greatest Eating Experience’, for some succulent stew and barbecue dishes of game meat as an excellent compliment to a holiday in Kenya. At 3am you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
